Tower Paradise Sdn Bhd launched their first major project for 2016 – Maya@Likas today (February 18) in conjunction with the company’s celebration of Chinese New Year at The Riverson.

“We have chosen this date to launch our Maya@Likas project to take advantage of the Chinese New Year festival mood,” said Managing Director, Datuk Kong Kwok Wah.

“We would also like to take this opportunity to showcase what we are going to offer to the public in one of the few leftover prime lands in Likas,” he added.

Maya@Likas, located just ten minutes away from Kota Kinabalu city centre is a residential condominium with a total of 483 units.

The new project is surrounded by lush greenery, matured housing facilities like Taman Fantasi, Taman Manikar, Taman Prestige, E33 Industrial Park, Wisma Wanita, and the Likas Sports Complex.

According to the developer, Maya@Likas has been specifically designed with greater resistance to earthquakes according to localized conditions, and all 483 units will come equipped with pantry units and two air cons.

Besides the standard features like gym, swimming pools, children’s playground and function rooms, Maya@Likas also offers additional features like bicycle parking, private lockers, and disable-friendly circulation.

The three residential blocks of Maya@Likas are designed like ‘a folded dragon reaching for the sky’, with built-in connectors which can be utilized to suit various leisure and recreational activities.

Every space within the compound is thought through and will be utilized for specific functions.

The ground level is gated and guarded, providing ease for residents to play and interact with each other. A unique jogging track that lines the whole perimeter connects the three building blocks with an outdoor setting that stimulates serenity to promote a healthy and well-balanced lifestyle.

The development of Maya@Likas consists of three main parts – Playhouse, Treehouse and Lighthouse.

Playhouse is suitable for entertaining and socializing by the pool. Three modern tipi shelters offer protection against the sun whilst giving closeness for residents to hold parties and other lively social settings.

Tree House is described as a place to meet, as this is a quiet retreat of space and tranquility overlooking the pool. Meanwhile, Light House is elevated between two residential towers and offers spectacular panoramic views. It is the ‘heart’ of Maya@Likas.

This new residential property is the latest project helmed by father and son team, Datuk Kong Kwok Wah, his son Ben Kong and friends.

Datuk Kong Kwok Wah has been in the housing industry for 35 years. He was the Managing Director of Wah Mie Group for 32 years and the notable projects under him in Kota Kinabalu are Puteri Damai, Alam Damai and Bukit Sepangar. He had since retired from the group. This is the first project in Kota Kinabalu by him under Tower Paradise Sdn Bhd.

This project is financed by United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd.

To ensure quality assurance and timely delivery, China State Construction Engineering (M) Sdn Bhd, an international Fortune Global 500 Company has been appointed as the main contractor for Maya@Likas.

According to Datuk Kong, Maya@Likas was well received by property buyers.

“I am happy to announce that upon launching, we have already secured 50% out of the 483 units offered for sale. With such encouraging support, we are determined to work extra hard to deliver timely and with quality,” he concluded.
